About 3Girls Theatre

Founded in 2011 by Suze Allen, AJ Baker and Lee Brady, 3Girls Theatre aims to put women’s work on stage where it belongs!   The founders were inspired by a desire to have control over their own work and by Emily Glassberg Sand’s report to the Princeton University’s Economics Department, which shows a severe gender gap in plays written by women produced in the New York theatre scene (12.6% in the 2008/09 theatre season).  With this in mind, 3Girls Theatre has committed to staging and supporting  plays written by women.   We’ll be producing full productions, staging readings,  launching the 3GT Theatre Lab and working to start up our Go Girl! Theatre Project, which gives voice to young disenfranchised women. Raise high the rooftop, girls of all ages!
