ATTENTION WOMEN PLAYWRIGHTS:  Ready to get to work on your new play?  We’re excited to announce the schedule for 3GT’s first Theatre Lab Summer Session, taught by Artistic Director Suze Allen.  Suze will be teaching two workshops in Bernal Heights:   Writing for the Stage – Beginning Playwrighting  (a 6 week session for beginning playwrights) and  a Playwright’s Intensive (ongoing monthly workshop for advanced/intermediate playwrights).   Complete details and sign-up information online now!

Join 3GT at Theatre Bay Area’s 2012 Annual Conference

3GT Managing Dirctor AJ Baker will be a panelist for TBA’s 2012 Annual Conference, ACTIVATE YOUR WORLD.  Join AJ , director Marilyn Langbehn and actor Valerie Weak as they lead a discussion on gender parity issues in the Bay Area theatre scene.  Come make your voice heard!   Monday, May 14 at Berkeley Rep.  Gender Parity panel is at 3 pm in the Alafi Auditorium.   Registration and conference information online.

NEW WORK ON STAGE THIS MONTH

Make sure to update your theatre-going calendar with these new works by our 3GT Playwrights:

3GT Artistic Director and Resident Playwright Suze Allen has a staged reading of her short play, DRY ROT, as part of the Dramatists’ Guild San Francisco Footlights Series on May 7 @ 7 pm.  SF Playhouse Stage #2, 533 Sutter Street, SF.  Free.

 3GT Associate Playwright Patricia Milton ‘s short play,  MISSION IRRESISTIBLE,  premieres in May as part of Sheherezade 2012, an evening of 8 short plays inspired by the theme “2012,” —and written in 2011.  It runs May 11-26 at StageWerx, 446 Valencia Street, SF.  Tickets benefit Playwrights Center of SF.  $15-20, available online.
