March 2024 at 3GT

Happy Women's History Month from all of us at 3Girls Theatre! This month, we honor and remember the resilient and brilliant women+ that paved the way for our opportunities and successes. We invite you to reflect on the women+ who have made a difference in your life, and celebrate their impact as well as your own. Here at 3GT, we believe the work of talented women+ playwrights deserves to be celebrated year-round, and I am so proud that 3GT's original mission of providing resources to women playwrights over age 40 now extends to women+: woman-identifying, assigned-female-at-birth, trans, and and nonbinary writers.

This Women's History Month, I could not be more proud of the work 3GT is doing to elevate the incredible work of women+ playwrights in the Bay Area. Be sure to support our talented cohort of writers by reserving your free tickets to our season's Reading Series:

3/3        It's Later Than You Think by Mercilee Jenkins

During these uncertain times, it is more important than ever that we hear the voices of women+, BIPOC and LBTQ+ writers. I am thankful that 3GT remains a pillar in the Bay Area artistic community, and a space for playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, actors, artists, collaborators and audiences to share experiences. This season, more than 80% of our playwrights are women+ over age 40, 50% are BIPOC writers, and 50% identify as LBTQ or nonbinary. We are so proud that 3GT is an intersectional artistic home for so many! Our mission continues to be vitally important and we’re grateful for your continued commitment to women+ playwrights.

Happy Women's History Month, and thank you for supporting Women+'s Work Onstage, Where It Belongs!

With Gratitude,

Zoe Chien Associate Director
