3GT Resident Casting Director and Associate Artist Sally Dana has been performing as an actor, singer, drummer and voiceover artist for over 30 years. She recently appeared in Dogfight with San Francisco Playhouse performing several different characters. Sally will appear in the SF Playhouse Sandbox world premiere of On Clover Road (2016). Some of Sally’s other stage appearances include Regina in Tides Theatre’s production of The Little Foxes, Central Work’s world premiere of William Bivin’s The Education of a Rake, the world premiere of Campo Santo’s The Language of Angels for which she won a Dean Goodman’s choice award for the role of Danielle, A Common Vision at Magic Theatre, Something in the Air at the B Street and a 2 year run in the comedy Shear Madness. Sally was an ensemble member in Julie Taymor and Elliot Goldenthal’s Obie award winning and Tony nominated production of Juan Darien. Sally performed in William Bivin’s comedy Pulp Scripture (2009 Best of the SF Fringe Festival), George Pfirrmann’s Arousal(2010 Best of the SF Fringe Fest) and Miles Pawski’s Heartbeat (2011 SF Fringe Fest) Sally has been a singer and/or drummer with several rock bands and is currently the drummer for the all girl garage rock band Reform School Girls. She toured nationally as backup singer and dancer with Pussy Tourette.Sally spent several years in LA as a casting assistant working on such films as Tropic Thunder, Charlie Wilson’s War, Georgia Rule, Knocked Up, Walk Hard, Valkyrie and the late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. Sally has cast Plays for Tides Theatre, Z Space, and 3GT. She has also cast voiceover projects including cartoons & video games. Sally received her theatrical training from Seattle’s Cornish College of the Arts. She is a proud member of Playgroud, AEA and SAG.
